Bonnie's Story
Meet Bonnie!!!

Bonnie is a 5-year-old, 60-pound girl who is looking for a new start after being surrendered due to a child in her previous home developing allergies. Bonnie has been a social presence here at the shelter, enjoying time with people and choosing to stay close by for pets and companionship. She already knows “sit” and “down,” showing that she has a solid foundation and enjoys engaging with her people.

Bonnie has a playful side and absolutely loves a good game with a tennis ball. She’s happiest with sturdy, heavy-duty toys that can keep up with her enthusiasm. Like many dogs going through a big transition, she may need some time to settle into a new environment, and a patient, understanding home will help her feel secure as she adjusts.

We recommend that all family members meet Bonnie prior to adoption. She has shown discomfort around other dogs at the shelter and may prefer to be the only dog in the home. If there are resident dogs, she would need an experienced adopter who can carefully manage interactions. Bonnie is best suited for someone who is physically able to handle a strong dog and committed to meeting her mental and physical needs—she has a lot of loyalty and love to offer the right home.

She is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations and preventatives. If you have further questions, please call the shelter at (517) 626-6060 or email our adoption staff at adoptions@AdoptLansing.org.
