Bonnie's Story

Bonnie is 2 years old and the happiest girl around! She loves to smile, butt wiggle, bounce around, give kisses, and roll over for belly rubs and attention.

Unfortunately, Bonnie lost her owner and her two companions, so being here at the shelter has been a tough and fast — not-so-easy — adjustment for her. But that hasn’t stopped her from smiling… literally!

Bonnie was brought to Cheboygan by kind people who were willing to take her in, but they soon discovered that she didn’t do well with their cat. Because of that, she wasn’t the right fit for their home. However, we’re confident that with the right introduction and time to adjust, Bonnie can do well with other dogs, as she has been around them in the past.

Don’t let her photos fool you — Bonnie isn’t a small girl! She weighs about 60 pounds and carries every pound with love and joy. She’s sweet, happy, and eager to please.

Bonnie hasn’t had the easiest transitions with all the big changes in her life, but she’s ready for a family that can give her the stability and love she deserves. If you’re ready to welcome a sweet dog with an irresistible butt wiggle, a giggly, toothy smile, and plenty of love to give, Bonnie may just be the perfect fit for your family.
