Bonnie's Story

THE FIRST STEP: Please go to www.barkbarkwag.org and click on "Let's Get Started!" for our adoption application, and to learn about our easy 3-step adoption process, adoption costs and vet care included! *PLEASE NOTE: WE NEED AN ADOPTION APPLICATION TO START THE PROCESS, the short Petfinder questionnaire is *not* our adoption application.*

APPLICATION & INFO:
https://barkbarkwag.org/adopt.html

BONNIE
Bonnie is a gentle young lady who's a bit shy meeting new people at first (especially males). Once she feels safe, you see that she's quietly confident and comfortable in her own skin. She knows how to do alllll the things (walk well on a leash, calmly enjoy a bath/groom, ride nicely in the car, sit for treats and take them gently, eat her meals when it's time, snuggle up for a movie on the couch, burrow under the covers, wag and trot over when she hears her name, rock a sweater or coat in style, gently paw at you for more bellyrubs, and the list goes on).

Though she's fine with respectful kids, their noise and activity makes her nervous; so she would prefer not to live with kids. She's happy and affectionate, but not overly needy or kissy; she's just happy to be where her favorite people are.

She's a sweet and respectful houseguest, and is house-trained on a regular schedule. She is crate-trained, but doesn't love it or require a crate; she's a good girl and doesn't get into anything she shouldn't. She loves to sleep in the people bed (or in her own dog bed, though that's her second choice), and she's happy to burrow under the covers and stay put for the night!

She's working to overcome her discomfort around men with a lot of love and patience from her foster mom and dad. She doesn't enjoy playing with other dogs, and has been indifferent to them; unless they are pushy or get in her face, then she will stand her ground. Bonnie would be happiest without a doggie housemate; she's a great best friend and would appreciate being your one and only! She requires regular weekly brushing, plus a groomer visit every 8 to 10 weeks. Bonnie is a Shih-Tzu and Boston Terrier mix who is 5 years old and 15#. She loves romping in the snow, sharing a cozy blanket after, and enjoying a nice nap with you. She's an easy keeper who's so easy to love, and she'll wrap her little paws right around your heart.

Bonnie's Original Facebook Post:
https://www.facebook.com/share/p/17cnKVq574/

Bonnie will be a loyal friend and companion for a lucky family who promises to love her always!
