Bonbon's Story
*Woof* I'm in a foster home, to meet me reach out to my foster caregiver at maryhuysman@gmail.com

Bonbon is 12 years old but you wouldn't know it—she plays, runs, and jumps like a puppy. She's super snuggly and very funny with the cutest little mohawk down her whole back. She is quite healthy for her age, and she’s ready to curl up right into your life (and your lap!). This adorable and tiny lady is a fantastic snuggler who lives for attention, cozy burrowing, and being close to her people.

Bonbon is food motivated, which makes bonding (and training!) a breeze. She already knows "sit" and "quiet," and she happily takes her trazodone tucked into a piece of a pill pocket.

She enjoys long walks and loves getting out and exploring. On walks, she greets other dogs and people politely. Bonbon can be a bit unsure around men at first, but treats work wonders—and with patience, she always warms up. Once she does, you’ve got a loyal little companion for life. She also gets along with other dogs--we have two resident HRA alums and she wants to play with them.

At home, you’ll find her enthusiastically playing with squeaky toys (especially the kind she can proudly destroy) and happily settling in with a good chew afterward.

If you’re looking for a sweet, ridiculous, cuddly, toy-loving senior who still has plenty of pep and so much love to give, Bonbon might just be your perfect match. She's an absolute joy.
