Bon Jovi's Story
**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. For adoption information go to: www.homewardbounddogrescue.com. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.

This little low rider is such an adorable little weirdo. He’s 5 months old and approximately 20 lbs. He loves his crate and is fully potty trained with a doggy door. He knows simple commands like “sit” and “crate.”

Jovi takes a while to warm up, especially to humans. He prefers dogs to people. He’s looking for a home with at least one, would love two, other playful dogs. After over a month with his foster, he loves her, and finally has started coming up and asking for pets. He may always be a little skiddish even with his favorite person, time will tell. He LOVES being outside and playing with other dogs, though can be a little growly when he first meets a new dog. Once he’s comfy though, he loves being part of a puppy snuggle pile.

He’s looking for a family without small kids, because he needs people who can respect his boundaries. His ideal home is one with adults with a lot of patience, because he’s going to take a while to shine! If you want an independent pup who can give you lots of joy as you slowly teach him the world, he’s your man!

Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
