BOLT's Story

🐾 Meet Bolt!
Breed: Poodle Mix
Age: ~4 years
Adoption Fee: $225

Bolt’s journey to ARF began just over a year ago when a kind-hearted Samaritan found him wandering the streets, confused and alone. Once his stray hold ended, Bolt officially became part of the ARF family — and he’s been winning hearts ever since.

This playful, affectionate boy loves cuddles and being picked up. He’s a big fan of toys, treats, and spending time with his volunteers. You’ll often find him showing off his goofy side with a squeaky toy or ball in his mouth!

Bolt takes his job as a “security guard” seriously — he may bark when someone approaches the door, but don’t be fooled — he’s all bark and full of love. Once you’re inside and he knows you’re a friend, he’ll happily welcome you into his world.

He’ll need a patient groomer (and possibly a muzzle for safety) to keep his coat looking its best. We believe with kindness and consistency, he’ll continue to make great strides in trusting new people and situations.

Bolt keeps his kennel clean and has been learning manners like a champ. Early on, he was quick to “bolt” out the door when it opened (true to his name!), but now he’s much calmer. Until he’s fully settled in, it’s best to keep an eye on him around open doors or gates.

We’re not sure if Bolt was allowed on furniture in his previous home, but with a little patience, structure, and love, he’ll become an incredible companion — and maybe even your new couch buddy.

💙 Bolt is ready to be your loyal protector, cuddle companion, and playtime partner.

If you’re looking for a sweet pup with personality and a heart of gold, complete an application so we can set up a time to meet Bolt at ARF!

At this time ARF does not adopt out of state.

How to Adopt a Dog from ARF
Animal Rescue of Fresno is a Volunteer Managed & Operated Dog Rescue.
We are available by Appointment Only.
Adoptions begin with an Approved Application.
You can find the application on our website at www.arf-fresno.com

Application can be found in the drop-down menu above, click "ADOPT"
Mobile users click three lines at top of page to see "ADOPT"
Business Hours: By Appointment Only

We will review each submitted application, then contact the approved adopter via email.
