Bolt's Story

Hi, I’m Bolt — a sweet-hearted guy learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all.

I’m about 4 years old, and while my life didn’t start out with the structure and support every dog deserves, I’m finally getting that now — and I’m doing my very best with it.

I came to The Pittie Project PNW through an owner-supported surrender when the rescue stepped in to help dogs from a situation with far too many dogs and not enough resources. Because of that, I can be a little shy and nervous at first. New things, new people, and new environments take me a moment — but once I feel safe, my true personality shines through.

At my core, I’m incredibly sweet. I want connection, consistency, and someone who understands that confidence is built, not rushed. With patience and kind leadership, I continue to grow more comfortable and sure of myself every day.

Here’s what you should know about me:

🐾 I do best with female dogs and can be selective with male dogs

🐾 I’m good with kids and enjoy calm, respectful interactions

🐾 I’m sensitive, gentle, and eager to please once I trust you

🐾 I’m working on building confidence and doing great with structure and routine

I’m not looking for chaos or pressure — I’m looking for a home that sees my potential and is willing to meet me where I am. The right family for me will understand that shy doesn’t mean broken, and that some of the most loyal dogs are the ones who just need a little extra time.

If you’re someone who believes in giving dogs space to grow, patience to learn, and love to settle in, I promise I’ll meet you there with a whole lot of heart.

Think we might be a good match?
www.thepittieprojectpnw.org/apply
