Bolo's Story

Bolo can be a bit of a ""sour patch kid!"" He is ultimately sticky sweet, but can be a little sour at first! Bolo can be easily won over with a little patience (and a lot of treats) which is important when there are new hands near his face, because if those unfamiliar fingers linger a little too long he may have a tendency to snap. Even though he may not be so sure about new hands, he always appreciates some snuggles and diving his head right in to your lap to initiate this snuggle session!
Bolo is very expressive and likes to vocalize when he is feeling playful. At the same time, he doesn't seem to mind spending time alone! When he has a chew toy and his bed, he will enjoy a gnawing session, so much so, that he is easily forgotten because he is so quiet!
Bolo would do best if he had a yard to call home that was not in a highly populated area. In his foster homes, Bolo has lived with a feline sister he loved dearly and a dog who was similar in size and temperament that was his side-kick. He is aware he is not a big guy, so he can be insecure around high energy and larger dogs.
If you want a dog with a personality and good looks, Bolo is the one for you!

Last Chance at Life All Breed Rescue's Adoption Policy
Not every pet will fit into your lifestyle. Our adoption counselors will ask you many questions to determine which pet will do well in your home and which will not. This way we can be sure the pet you get will be the pet you want … to love for its lifetime! Before we schedule any meet-and-greets, we will ask that you complete an adoption application FIRST… which includes: Information about the pet you may be interested in adopting. Questions about your past pet experiences and expectations for caring for this pet. Approval to have the type of pet you are interested in adopting from landlord or rental agencies if you rent or lease your home, condo or apartment. This includes HOA approvals as well. A letter of reference from your veterinarian. Since some of our pets have had serious medical conditions, we want to ensure that you have a commitment to provide the ongoing care they may need. A home visit by one of our volunteers to assist/ensure that your home is indeed set up to bring a dog or bird home. Please understand that we deal with homeless or unwanted animals. Many of our animals come from unknown backgrounds through local shelters. Most have medical or behavioral concerns that we have addressed as well as providing their well care. The adoption process may seem time-consuming, but we wish to maximize an animal’s chance for a successful, permanent adoption. Adopting a companion pet is a major consideration and responsible pet ownership demands a considerable commitment. All we ask in return is that you love and care for this pet for its lifetime and make a donation that will allow us to help the next pet in need.
