Bodin's Story

Say hello to Bodin!
Bodin's name has French origins and means "shelter" and "one who brings news." This sweet boy is just over a year old and was rescued from a shelter where he was scheduled for euthanasia. Although he was extremely skinny and had several scrapes and scratches, with a few weeks in his foster home, Bodin has filled out to a happy and healthy 50 pounds.
While we can't say for sure what breed this young dog is, but he has beautiful brown speckles and a joyful and goofy personality.
Bodin relishes his breakfast and dinner, lives for walks which are really just giant sniff-fests, adores playing with his foster dog siblings, loves kids of all ages, and would absolutely love an active family to call his own. He is nonreactive with cats, too!
Bodin is potty-trained, leash-trained, and crate-trained. As a young dog, he loves his chew toys and needs regular walks or playtime in a fenced yard. He plays well with others or can entertain himself, too! He already knows how to sit on command and knows that the word "tasties" means he should run to the kitchen, sit, and wait patiently do his turn for a treat.
He learned how to use the doggie door in record time, and he even taught other dogs in the house how to use it. In turn, they taught him that making nose prints on the front window is not only wildly fun but also part of his duty as a resident dog.
Bodin rides like a champ in the car like he was born for it!
Except for the occasional nap in a spot of sunshine, Bodin likes to be on the move during the day, but he loves to snuggle up in bed with his foster each night.
Bodin is neutered and vaccinated. He is heart worm-negative, and his adoption fee is $325. He is being fostered near Crestwood, Missouri.
Want to learn more about Bodin?
Fill out an application today at istodaymydayrescue.org, and one of our volunteers will reach out to you right away!

Is Today My Day Rescue's Adoption Policy
Visit our website at istodaymydayrescue.org and fill out an adoption application! The adoption team for the dog you are interested in will review your application and complete a vet check to be sure all current animals are up to date on vaccinations and preventative care. A member of the adoption team will contact you via email or phone to discuss your application and evaluate if the dog will be a good fit for your home. You can expect to hear from a member of that dog’s adoption team within 48 hours. If your application is approved, a meeting/home visit will be arranged so you can see how the dog will fit into your current lifestyle. If the meeting goes well, the adoption contract and any other paperwork will be completed, the adoption fee will be paid, and they are ready to go home! We want to make this easy and we want to be sure that the dog you are interested in is a fit for you. Finding a dog or pup that works with your schedule and lifestyle is key to our placement. The questions on our application help us determine if the dog you choose will do well in your home. The number of hours your dog is home alone, fenced yard, exercise plan, other family members – pets included; these are important things we want to discuss with you and your chosen canine. Each dog’s needs vary based on breed, age, personality, health, and a number of other factors, so there are no right or wrong answers. We do require a vet reference as a routine part of our application screening.
