Meet Bodhi

young boy ready to play! BODHI NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Bodhi Best Guess for Breed: Lab mix

Best Guess for Age: 2 years as of Dec. 2023 SEX: Male

Approximate Weight: 38 lbs as of Dec. 2023

Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats but he can be tested. Bodhi lived with children in his foster in South Carolina and did well.

Currently Living at: DC area foster homeSpecial adoption considerations: Bodhi is a truly Lucky Dog! He tested positive for Heartworm disease but has already been treated! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. We are happy to talk more in depth about heartworm disease and treatment during the adoption counseling process.

Bodhi is Looking For: Due to no fault of his own, Bodhi is looking for a new home. He's had a previous owner so he already knows a lot! He's a young dog that is looking for a new home that will allow him to thrive.
What My Foster Says About Me: Bohdi is a great dog. He spends most of his days looking out the windows, playing with his toys, wandering around the house to confirm that the floors are clean of any food, taking naps at your feet and asking for pets and attention. He's the right dog for anyone looking for companionship and a dog that's easy to train and get along with. He can do his own thing but also wants to follow you around and be a part of whatever you're doing. He's house trained and is consistent about using the restroom outside, but be prepared for some accidents in a new environment.

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at
