Bodhi

Bodhi, is cleared for adoption! This ~3-year old pittie girl has been through the ringer medically and is now ready for lots and lots of love. Bodhi is an extremely friendly and social pup who is enjoys the company of dogs, cats, and kids! She currently is in a foster home with 4 other dogs, 1 cat and 2 kids (6 and 2-years old). Bodhi is crate trained and housebroken, but really prefers lounging the day away on the couch with an occasional romp. She does have some mild playful energy and would absolutely thrive in a home with a dog who would enjoy playing with her. She really likes to have her friends. Bodhi shows no resource guarding issues with other dogs or humans and has no touch sensitivities, making her the ideal dog for any home. She does get a little mouthy only when playing, so she would need a family with a willingness to work with her. <br/><br/>Her backstory: Bodhi wound up at the shelter as a stray with another look-a-like that we believe is her son. She quickly developed severe kennel cough and pneumonia. Thankfully, we were able to pull her in the nick of time and get her the medical treatment needed. When Bodhi went for her spay, under loads of scar tissue (from many previous c-sections) our amazing vets discovered a severely disfigured, discolored kidney. Bodhi underwent emergency surgery to remove the kidney and completed her spay. Once she recovered, she underwent a double entropion surgery to correct the extra skin around her eyes, which was impeding and compromising her vision.
