Bobby's Story

~ FROM A BOX ON THE ROAD TO A CHANCE AT LOVE: ENERGETIC AND READY FOR HIS FAMILY

The story of a full litter of young dogs began in the cruelest way: they were stuffed into a box and discarded on a low-traffic road on the outskirts of Puerto Vallarta. Left in the middle of nowhere, filthy, starving, and covered in fleas, they had no chance of surviving on their own.
But fate stepped in, a kind soul spotted the box, opened it… and immediately sprang into action. With determination (and a bit of luck), they found a shelter that had just a couple of open spaces and they welcomed the whole litter. At the vet, they were checked from head to toe and despite being malnourished and neglected, every test for life-threatening illnesses came back negative… these babies wanted to live. Bobby was one of those lucky puppies.

Bobby is about 3 years old, weighs around 19.5 kilos, and is a mixed breed.

Bobby is now thriving at the shelter. He loves people of all ages and enjoys spending time with his foster dog siblings. He is a confident dog who doesn’t get bothered by loud noises like heavy traffic, thunderstorms, or even fireworks. Every day, he looks forward to his walks outside the shelter, where he walks well on a leash and greets any dogs he meets along the way.
He has an affectionate personality and loves being close to his humans. Bobby is playful, full of energy, and always ready for attention. He sometimes jumps up gently to touch or lick your face, simply because he wants to be close and loved. He is especially fond of children and people who enjoy a cuddly, affectionate dog who wants to be involved in everything. At the shelter, the only time he might get into a mild scuffle is when there are many people around and he wants to be the first to receive affection. It’s not aggression—just his way of saying he wants to be noticed. He has no issues sharing his food, toys, or his favorite places to sleep, and he’s happy to let others into his space. Because Bobby is full of energy, he would do best in an active home where he can go on daily walks and have plenty of space to run and play. He would be very happy living with another playful dog or with children who can match his enthusiasm. He does give small, playful nibbles on your arm or hip when he wants attention, and sometimes he jumps up to get closer to your face, but it all comes from a place of love and his desire to connect.

Boby’s adoption fee is $550, which includes his flight, neuter, vaccinations, and full vetting.
