Bobby's Story

Meet Bobby!

Bobby is a 7-year-old Shar Pei mix who found himself at Dallas Animal Services, where he quickly became an absolute volunteer favorite. With his sweet disposition and gentle, loving nature, Bobby stole hearts left and right — it was impossible not to love him.

Despite being adored by staff and volunteers, Bobby had been waiting far too long and was heartbreakingly scheduled to be euthanized. Thankfully, one of his biggest fans reached out to us, and we immediately scooped him up and brought him into the rescue. Bobby is now safe, loved, and thriving — he just needs one last thing: a forever family of his own.

Bobby is potty trained, crate trained, and an all-around love bug. He walks beautifully on a leash and absolutely enjoys getting out and about. In fact, his volunteer friends at DAS loved him so much that they would often take him on “day-cations” — and Bobby soaked up every second of it.

We don’t know much about Bobby’s past, so he can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give him a little time and he’ll warm up quickly. He does best with small dogs, but also gets along well with most pups. Above all, Bobby just wants companionship, love, and a soft place to land.

This sweet boy has waited long enough. Bobby is ready for his happily ever after!

You can apply to adopt Bobby directly on our website below!

https://www.straytoplayrescue.org

****Please note, Bobby is located in Dallas, Texas. He can be transported to you for $200, including a $100 health certificate, bringing his total adoption fee to $700 - but trust us - Bobby is well worth it!****
