Bobby's Story

Meet Bobby!!!

Bobby is an 8-month-old male dog who’s already tipping the scales at around 55 pounds and still has some growing to do. He came to us from another shelter, so his life before arriving is a bit of a mystery, but since being here he’s shown himself to be a social, people-loving guy. Bobby already knows “sit” and “shake,” and he may enjoy games like fetch. Because of his size and enthusiasm, we recommend that all family members meet him prior to adoption.

When it comes to other dogs, Bobby can come on strong during first meetings, but with a little time he’s able to relax and become playful. He may be able to live with another dog if introductions are done slowly, and we strongly recommend a meet-and-greet here at the shelter before adoption to set everyone up for success. His excitement is more about youthful energy than poor intentions.

As a young dog, Bobby is still learning about the world and would benefit from continued positive reinforcement training, especially to help him feel more comfortable around other dogs and new noises. A consistent potty schedule will also help him stay on track as he matures. With guidance, structure, and patience, Bobby has the potential to grow into a confident, well-mannered companion.

He is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives.
If you have further questions, please call the shelter at (517) 626-6060 or email our adoption staff at adoptions@AdoptLansing.org.
