Bobbie Jo 's Story

Meet Bobbie Jo (aka Ellie… or Elizabeth when she’s not listening )
Spayed
3 years old
Pitbull mix

Bobbie Jo is a sweet, affectionate girl with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She was originally adopted from us as a puppy, and due to financial hardship, her family recently made the difficult decision to return her. While her adopters called her Ellie, Bobbie Jo is her rescue name and the name we’re returning to—though her fosters jokingly call her Elizabeth when she’s feeling a little selective with her listening.

Bobbie Jo is fully potty trained and does great in her crate. She knows the “crate” command and will go right in, though she may whine if she’s been crated for a bit and is ready to rejoin the action. Her energy level is best described as play hard, nap harder—she loves to play and romp around, then happily crash for snuggles.

She is incredibly sweet, playful, and loving, and she grew up with small humans in her original adoptive home, making her comfortable and gentle with kids. Bobbie Jo loves attention and cuddling and is always down for a good snuggle once she’s gotten her zoomies out. She’s currently working on her sit and is eager to keep learning.

Bobbie Jo is also a very vocal girl who isn’t shy about sharing her opinions. She’ll bark when she’s outside, when people come into the home, or when other dogs decide playtime is over before she’s ready. Baths are tolerated (but definitely not loved), and when it comes to food—Bobbie Jo is all in. She loves everything and eats like a little garbage can in the most endearing way possible.

If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, kid-friendly dog with a big heart, a playful spirit, and plenty to say, Bobbie Jo might just be your perfect match.

Interested in adopting? Submit an adoption application on our website rescuedrascalsil.org!

We will review your application at our earliest convenience. If your application is selected, we will contact you for a phone interview. From there, we’d schedule a meet and greet with the dog to make sure it is a great fit for adoption for the whole family and any other dogs in your home.

Questions about adoption?
