BOB's Story

LOOKING FOR STEADFAST AND IMPRESSIVE LOOKING LOYALTY?

Stop swiping and give Bob you attention.

Bob came from the Yakama Indian Reservation where he was dutifully impregnating the local ladies, resulting in quite a few youngsters that look alot like him (see Buchanan..also available for adoption) That is until he was caught, neutered and placed in a foster home, where he has settled in well and seems to be enjoying this safer and more predictable style of life.

Bob has the battle scars to show that his prior life was anything but easy. If we have learned anything about him though, it is that he is really a pretty gentle and quiet dude, who would rather live in peace. In his foster home, he was challenged once or twice by the resident trouble maker, but did his best to extract himself from the situation, rather than rise to the challenge. He has put that life behind him, and far prefers this new life of warm beds, regular meals and kind humans. He loves to follow his foster mom around the house dutifully and just be part of this new and easier life. Though he is mostly a quiet dog, he carries an air of dignity and confidence that will make strangers who do not belong, decide to go elsewhere with their thieving or peeping or unwanted attention.

Bob is probably about two years old and weighs 80lbs. He has incredibly charming ears and a slow and steady way of living life. He is crate trained and housebroken, travels quietly and has done well with his leash training. His foster takes him to Wilco and Home Depot stores, where he does well meeting new people and has even spent a few days at doggy daycare, where he was a favorite with the staff.

Bob is a dog that is happiest with a strong and confident human. He likes structure, predictability and knowing what is expected of him. He is a big dog, with a big heart but is also quite sensitive and feels deeply. His happy place is by your side but that is not to say he suffers from any kind of anxiety or behavior problems. He could be happy as an only dog but is also very well versed in canine social skills and knows how to get along. Super high energy dogs who do not respect the space of others, may not be a good fit but Bob would love a calm and gentle, neutered male or spayed female, as a friend. Cats? We are not going to recommend a home with them. He is hit and miss and we have no way of knowing the why's of his decisions. We have also not had him around small children, so are not going to recommend a home with kids under ten years old.

If you are looking for a calm, handsome, impressive looking dog with a gentle way of living life but with the ability to protect and patrol, perhaps Bob is your guy. To meet him, please go to our website at www.allmuttsgreatandsmall.org/adoption and fill out the online application. We would love to hear why Bob caught your eye and what your plans for him would be.

Bob is neutered, up to date on five way and rabies vaccines, was tested and treated for intestinal parasites, is flea/tick free and microchipped. He is ready for a better life with a loving human who will appreciate all he brings to the table.

His adoption fee is $350

All Mutts Great and Small's Adoption Policy
We believe there are many different ways to be a successful dog owner. It is our intent to broaden the idea of happy dog/person relationships to go beyond the traditional. Our goal is to place people and dogs together with the intent being compatibility. We know these dogs and we want to match them with the person who will provide them with the best possible life. One they would have chosen themselves had they been able too. We do NOT have a standard list of "must haves", preferring to match dog with adopter. www.allmuttsgreatandsmall.org
