Bo's Story
Meet Bo! Bo is a one year old, male, purebred Border Collie who was surrendered to us when he was 10 months old. He was the runt of his litter and was very scared when he first came to us.
Bo is gorgeous, so sweet and very smart, weighing in at about 38lbs!
Bo will need a very special adopter who understands this breed and will be able to continue the work and socialization that his foster mom has begun. He is definitely a work in progress, but has come oh so far and will make someone a loyal and loving family member. Bo seems to be partial to men, but does do well with women, as well. The perfect home for him will have, at least, one other Border Collie (male or female) that is confident and kind and is still young enough to keep up with his desire to play and show him the ropes! He loves all the dogs in his foster home, young and old, and is respectful of the Senior alpha male BC. We will give a non cat home a priority because he was very afraid of the resident cat for weeks but has become great friends with him now. We feel he will settle into his new home quicker if there are no cats and no young children.
He still can be skittish but recovers very quickly if something surprises him and will become a confident boy with patience and training in the right Border Collie experienced home!
He is housetrained, up to date on all vaccines, neutered, and heartworm negative. He is being fostered in middle TN.
As always, we require (no exceptions for Bo) a securely fenced yard
If you would like more information on Bo, call Karen at (615) 617-9177 or contact us at contact@bordercollierescuewesttn.org and someone will be in touch.
