Bo's Story

Bo did not have a good start in life. He was found as a stray and sat in an animal control for months hoping someone would get him.. He stayed the good boy he is winning the love of all the volunteers and shelter employees. Bo finally got a rescue who could take him, but then they lost their foster home and the poor guy was on transport for 9 hours with no where to go. He just sat there and it was heart breaking. Luckily another rescue stepped in and found a vet clinic to hold him and we just got him. He is such a sweet dog...loves everyone and has no aggression to other dogs. He has no aggression to cats. He has not shown aggression to anything. Bo is looking for a home where he will finally be loved. He is so affectionate and has learned what toys are and LOVES them. He wants to be with someone at all times. Bo walks well on a leash and does not show interest in other dogs or people when walking unless someone stops to say hi, then he is really friendly. He does however need daily socialization and exposure to the world. He will digress quickly if he is not kept social. He will need daily walks around people and other pets to keep him where he is now. He is in an obedience class now and will need continued training. He is fearful in a crate and we are working on that to help him build trust. He is afraid he will once more be taken to an animal control. He needs time to feel safe. He can now be left behind a baby gare for about 2.5 hours without stressing. But he has to be built up to this and be comfortable in his surroundings. Bo has mastered sit, down, come, wait, he is in an obedience class he is excelling in. This boy is a special guy...we did his DNA and he is am staff/american pit bull. He does not do well on kibble and is eating a raw diet. He is a big boy at just about 80 pounds. If you want to give this boy the home he so needs, please fill out the application at www.aandsrescue.org Bo really needs a fence to safely run. He is one amazing boy and he will not disappoint you. Adoption fee $350 with ALL medical done.
