Bo's Story

Bo is a high energy and talkative 1 year old male neutered husky mix. He was found wandering around in front of Harbor shelter. 2 other husky pups had been picked up in the hour before and when we pulled over and he literally jumped in the car we knew he wouldn't be joining the pack at animal control. A 45 minute drive and a couple months of vetting and adoption events later he's still looking for a home. He's fairly small compared to most huskies weighing in at only 44lbs. This also makes him easier to manage in general. He is very playful enjoying nice walks that turns into runs. He doesn't really pull and will stop if you do on walks but will absolutely join you on a sprint and has been known to love the donated treadmill. He's not a toy fanatic but can be seen enjoying squeaky toys but more quality time. He does better with dogs of similar medium/small size and female dogs. Cats are not his friends and the feeling is usually mutually with his high energy. He loves to play ball and spend quality time with his person. He would do well in an active household with either a family or couple. He's done well both one on one as well as in crowded scenarios like adoption events and meet and greets. He knows how to sit and will sit and spin around when waiting to go out the door. He can't wait to spin into a loving home that can help him thrive. He is very truly a classic husky just in a compact and micro size form. His talkative personality is truly something any husky lover could appreciate.
