Bluey's Story

This handsome 2 yr old blue heeler is of course, named Bluey!

Bluey can be a little shy when he first meets someone, but give him just a little time and that shy exterior melts away. Once he feels comfortable, he becomes a sweet, affectionate boy who absolutely loves attention from his people. And that smile? It seems to be on his face all the time!

True to his Heeler heritage, Bluey is smart, energetic, playful, and ready for fun. He absolutely loves other dogs and would happily spend his days playing and romping with canine friends. Hes also good with kids who are dog-savvy and understand how to navigate the enthusiastic play style of a young herding dog. Because Bluey is an active boy with plenty of energy and a natural herding instinct, older children who can participate appropriately in his play and respect his boundaries would be the best match.

This clever boy is already crate trained and is working hard on his leash manners. He's learning that walks are more enjoyable when you don't try to pull your person along with you! With his intelligence and eagerness to please, we expect Bluey will continue to make great progress with a little consistency and positive reinforcement.

What Bluey really wants is pretty simple: a family to love, some dog friends to play with, and people who will appreciate his goofy smile and happy spirit. He has so much potential and is ready to leave his stray days behind and begin the next chapter of his life. Bluey is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations.

If you have room in your heart for a sweet, smart, playful Heeler who will keep you smiling right along with him, Bluey is waiting to meet you.
