Blueberry's Story
We rescued Mama Ellie when she was about to give birth. She spent a year as a stray before finally approaching someone for help, and she had only been in her foster home for two days before giving birth to 12 puppies, 11 of whom survived. A photo of mother dog Ellie is included here. She looks like a heeler mix, so we expect the puppies may need quite a bit of exercise and mental activity!

Puppies were born July 15 and will be ready for foster-to-adopt as soon as they have had their first vaccines, around September 10.

Foster-to-adopt means that you are committed to giving the puppy a forever home; the adoption becomes final after the puppy is spayed. Puppies will need to have socialization with people, other dogs, and other pets, and get exposure to normal dog experiences, while at the same time protecting them from puppy diseases as they're not yet fully vaccinated (vaccine schedule finishes at 16 weeks with the last DHPP booster and rabies vaccine).

Adoption application: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/24333/generic
