Meet Blueberry!<br/><br/>He's currently our longest resident at the shelter! He's also the sweetest, silliest pup we've got.<br/>Blueberry has the handsomest brindle coat you’ve ever seen. He’s potty trained, great on a leash, and dog friendly. He’s a total catch! <br/><br/>This smart boy loves to run, play, and explore, then snuggle up for cuddles all night. He’d be happiest with an energetic family and kids 8+ (or younger if they’re sturdy!) who can keep up with his playful spirit.<br/><br/>If you’re looking for a fun-loving companion who’ll fill your days with joy (and your couch with cuddles), Blueberry is your guy!<br/><br/>He recently went on a Dog Day out with one of our volunteers. Here's what she had to say, "I took Blueberry out for a little day out. He is such a polite gentleman! He enjoys strolling along trails and sniffing everything. He walks so nicely on a leash, it’s almost always loose unless you get him playing. Blueberry takes treats gently and does well in the car. He is such a big sweetheart and just wants loves and treats."<br/><br/>Over the summer, he went on a Dog Day Out to the beach with another couple of volunteers. Here's was their impression, "Blueberry! Not only is he handsome, he’s as smart as he is strong. He never pulled on the leash and matched our pace—whether we were walking or running. If he got distracted or wandered off the trail, he was easy to redirect.<br/>Toys are his absolute favorite—especially balls and sticks. He was a little hesitant about the water at first, but once he figured it out, he had a blast jumping in to retrieve sticks.<br/>Best of all, Blueberry has such gentle, calm energy. He’s the perfect mix of playful and easygoing!"<br/><br/>Blueberry had a canine tooth removed a couple of months ago due to some damage to the pulp from before he arrived. Here's his report card from Lake Station Pet Clinic:<br/>"Being the bestest boy: A+++<br/>Playing tug: A++<br/>Being excited to see us: A+<br/>Blueberry was just the BEST patient for his dental this week at our partnering vet. Although he plays a tough game of tug, he is on temporary, strict orders from the doctor for NO TUG ??<br/>Doctor also said that he can only eat wet food for a week, which he isn’t complaining about! Thanks to their amazing team, his teeth are pearly white and ready for his go home picture!<br/>Someone come and scoop this guy up!"<br/><br/>As you can see, everyone who meets him is full of good things to say.
