Neutered and fully vaccinated. <br/><br/>Blue had a good start for his first 3 months, (we took him and his litter mates from a local accidental breeding) but went to a home that ended up not meeting his needs, not training and not socializing him the way he needed. His fear, separation anxiety, insecurities and high anxiety was severe, and his veterinarian prescribed medication to help while Blue continues behavioral modification training. <br/><br/>He was not managed properly around other dogs, so he is fearful of high energy, nervous dogs, but he’s come a long way since being back in our care. <br/>He’s good around calm, easy going, well socialized dogs who give space and boundaries. <br/><br/>He’s been cat tested and there is no aggression. He can be calm around dog friendly, calm cats with proper direction from his handler. He can get excitable and still needs training to not play/nudge the kitties. <br/><br/>He does really well with a confident handler, and does best with clear rules and boundaries. He’s eager to please and learns well with consistency. <br/><br/>-Blue is a loving boy who loves to be with his people. He will require a lot of patience and training to acclimate him and settle him to a new routine and life. To help him feel secure again with this change to a new home. Once his adopter settles him, the love and wonderful companionship will be amazing. <br/><br/>We know his amazing match is out there! <br/><br/>German Shepherd/working breed experience and training experience, or willing to continue professional training for Blue to help keep him on track for successful placement is a must- <br/><br/>He allows all handling at the vet, even bloodwork and receiving vaccinations like a champ. <br/><br/>He’s excelling with his training beyond what we could’ve imagined since he was returned to us. <br/><br/>Blue is medium energy and very sweet and affectionate. <br/>He’s is potty trained and needs regular let outs. <br/>He’s crate trained (although can have separation anxiety & not like to be in the crate) Consistent training has settled him very well. <br/><br/> <br/>If you think Blue might be your match, please visit our website for our adoption process details, fees and application if still interested. <br/><br/>www.GSRNY.org <br/><br/>-Meet and greets can be arranged any day or time for approved applicants-<br/><br/>If our adoption process is not for you, please do check out our local shelters.
