Blue is looking for his forever home! This guy has TRANSFORMED in the past month. What a change from the little fella who was a "fospice" to one who is loving life. While he does have some special needs and is a senior, he's looking to find the home where he can love on people of his own for the rest of his days.

Meet Old Blue, aka Blue Bear! This fella is a true diamond in the rough. The key word here is diamond! This dog has stolen the hears of everyone who has ever met him. Look at those eyes! This guy is a total stud muffin!

Blue came to us from an animal shelter in WV where he was found on the brink of death, frozen, and severely malnourished. The shelter had reached capacity, and Blue was at the top of the list for being put to sleep. He was not treated kindly by humans in the past, but you would never know that to meet him. He has an absolute heart of gold, and the fact that he loves his humans to the core says a lot about his sweet nature. His favorite activities are eating, cuddling, and following his humans around everywhere. He is estimated to be between 7-11 years old. Unfortunately, he has developed arthritis in his back and hips from his hard previous life. Blue has made outstanding progress with us, just in the last month that we have had him. He tested positive for Lymes disease and has been treated. He is also taking an anti-inflammatory, gabapentin, and a liver supplement. He is very quite and gentle and gets along well with the other foster dogs he is with. And we honestly don't think he has ever met a being he didn't like. He loves to be picked up for cuddle time on the couch, and he will look at you with such adoration, as though you hung the moon! He is so thankful to be safe and loved, and he lives every day letting you know that.

Bue would do best with a home that understands what adopting a senior dog looks like. He does better on floors with carpets or throw rugs that provide traction for his feet. I know his perfect home is out there, and he has so much love to give. Please consider opening your home to this sweet guy. He deserves not to be let down by humans again.
