Blue's Story

Meet Blue! Blue pulled as part of "Angel Retreat's ACCT's of Love" program. Blue was originally brought into a kill shelter in Philadelphia after being surrendered by the children of his previous owner, after their passing. His previous owner was noted to be a hoarder. This shelter is the only open intake shelter for the entire city, and is extremely underfunded and overcrowded. Senior dogs have a very hard time getting adopted, and we are always happy to take them on and give them all the time they need to find all the love and happiness they deserve in their golden years. Blue is an 9 year old Chihuahua mixed breed who is nervous after all this change in his life, but is learning slowly he is safe. He is a little man with a spicy personality. He was never well socialized, but is doing really well learning all these new things in his life. He would do best in a home without young children. Angels Retreat's Adoption Policy

Our adoption process starts with the application and then you will be contacted upon approval. Please complete application at www.angelsretreat.org. Adopters must be able to meet dogs in person and bring all family members and other pets to meet the animal. Adopters must provide a vet reference or personal reference if no animals currently owned.
