Blue's Story
Hi friends, my name is Blue!

My vet says I'm around 35 years old and a Pittie mix, but almost everyone I meet asks if I'm a puppy because I'm just that cute. I didn't have much growing up, so when my foster parents gave me toys of my own, I was over the moon. Now you'll often find me carrying them around, tossing them in the air, or happily entertaining myself. I love chasing balls outside (I'm still working on the "bring it back" part), and if couch privileges are allowed, I'm an expert cuddler who loves resting my head on my favorite people.

One of my favorite ways to start the day is soaking up the sunshine, whether that's in the backyard or stretched out by a sunny window. I'm also a huge fan of peanut butter, especially when it's spread on a lick mat. Since I'm very food motivated, training has been a lot of fun for me! I've learned crate training, potty training, and a few tricks already, with many more to come.

Because I wasn't exposed to much of the outside world when I was younger, new places and sudden loud noises can sometimes make me nervous. I've made incredible progress building my confidence, but I still appreciate a little encouragement from my people. I also grew up mostly playing with my brothers, so when I get really excited, I can sometimes become jumpy or mouthy during play. I don't mean any harm—I'm just having fun! I've been learning to redirect that excitement to my toys and am doing great.

Blue is looking for a loving, patient home that will continue helping him build confidence and navigate the world. An experienced dog owner would be a wonderful fit. He may do well with a playful, well-matched dog companion after proper introductions. Because of his enthusiastic play style, older dog-savvy children may be the best fit.

If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate dog who will make you laugh, join you for adventures, and happily snuggle beside you afterward, Blue may be your perfect match.
