Blue was a frequent flyer at his previous shelter, and when they reached out and asked if we could take him, we just couldn't say no. Honestly, it was the ears. How could anyone say no to those ears?<br/><br/>Blue's ears have a personality all their own. Some days they look like a perfect little comb-over, and other days they have a mind of their own and stick straight up. Either way, they're absolutely adorable and make him one-of-a-kind.<br/><br/>Beyond his charming looks, Blue is a friendly, social guy who loves meeting new people. He's always excited to make new friends and is just as happy to see other dogs. His cheerful personality and enthusiasm for life make him a joy to be around.<br/><br/>Blue does have one important toy preference: soft toys are not a good fit for him. Once he gets hold of one, he is very committed to keeping it and may try to eat it, so his future family will need to stick with sturdier, appropriate chew toys instead. With the right toys in the rotation, this is an easy quirk to manage.<br/><br/>Blue came to us heartworm positive and has now completed the injection portion of his heartworm treatment through The Runaways Animal Rescue. He is finishing activity restriction for about another month while he completes recovery.
