Blue

Blue is a gentle and quirky McNab mix around 9-10 years old. We took Blue from SFSPCA who had pulled him as a neglect case. He came in with his buddy Samson who has since been adopted. Blue is shy, but bonds strongly to his people. He's an easy walker and regularly goes on outings to Helen Putnam Park where he politely greets dogs on the trail and moves along. He can get overwhelmed by too much noise or too many people, but he just chooses to remove himself from the situation by stepping behind his handler or going in a crate or dog house. He enjoys walks and has low exercise needs, but will get into things if he's bored. Blue regularly attends training classes and his personality really opens up when he's learning a new skill such as circling around a cone or climbing stairs. He does well in the sanctuary manager's office and will quietly lay down on a bed and chew a bully stick. He would do best in a quiet home with a yard ( he loves being outside!) and daily walks. Although scared at the vet, he has always been a kind dog. Blue will make a great companion dog for someone who wants a herding breed that has mellowed out, but is still active and a bit silly.<br/><br/>More pics coming soon!
