Blitzen's Story
Blitzen was adopted in February at just 4 months old. As we do with all our pups, he had a great beginning foundation for potty training, house manners, etc.
Suddenly, Blitzen needed an immediate return to the rescue or he was going to the "pound" that very same day. The adopter's told us Blitzen never went to the bathroom outside in the yard and that he was defiant "on purpose". They told us that we advertised wrong, saying he was a "laid back puppy" and nothing about him as a puppy toddler is laid back. In fact, he was high energy and always out of control. We were told he needed "severe" training.
So Blitzen's puppy foster got things ready and went to get him the same day. It's been a couple of weeks now and we can truly say that foster mom has seen NONE of the issues or complaints from the adopter. Blitzen appears a bit unsocialized and more scared of general things in the world- Her kids playing with large bouncy balls and he is terrified of the broom. Blitzen sleeps, cuddles and genuinely enjoys the kiddos in the home- bonding quickly with their little girl. They've had no accidents. No unusual super high energy moments and just typical puppy behavior. So, we can assume that a 3rd dog with a toddler (and baby on the way) just wasn't right for his adoptive family.
While they saved him from the shelter, they cannot keep Blitzen long term. He needs a new foster (or adopter) by October 1st. Blitzen walks great on leash and is learning about the crate. He even learned to use the doggy door fairly quick! He is a smart boy that is VERY eager to please.
Please help us find this boy a loving place to land!
