Meet Blessings!<br/><br/>Blessings is a sweet former mama dog who is ready for a new chapter of her own. She's affectionate, curious, and happiest when she's included in her family's adventures. With her love of walks, exploring, and playtime, she would make a wonderful companion for an active family.<br/><br/>- Sweet, cuddly, and affectionate once she feels comfortable<br/>- Loves exploring outdoors and sniffing out new adventures<br/>- Would enjoy long, brisk walks, hikes, or even joining her person for a run<br/>- Loves playing with sticks, soccer balls, and toys she chooses from the toy basket<br/>- Peanut butter is a favorite, and she's very treat motivated<br/>- Knows "sit," "wait," and "out," and is working on her recall<br/>- Excellent house manners and does not bother things that aren't hers<br/>- Great in the car<br/>- Comfortable passing people and dogs on walks and may offer a quick hello or simply keep going<br/>- Initially nervous around men but warms up with time and patience; once comfortable, she'll approach on her own for friendship<br/>- Sleeps well in covered crate at night and sleeps quietly through the night<br/>- Still learning to feel comfortable being alone during the day and would benefit from a family willing to continue working on this<br/>- Another dog in the home may provide companionship and help her feel more comfortable when her people are away<br/><br/>Blessings has spent her time caring for others, and now it's her turn to be spoiled. As we're 100% volunteer-run, your patience is appreciated!<br/><br/>Requirements And Donations<br/>- Required Adoption Day Items: A martingale collar and a non-retractable leash (available for purchase at ODHS).<br/>- Adoption Donations: Puppies (under 1 year): $375; Adults: $275; Seniors (age-dependent): $175; Select dogs: $500. We accept cash, debit, and credit cards.<br/>- Adoption Radius: Within 350 miles of Fredericksburg, VA. A $50 out-of-state fee applies.<br/>- Breed Identification: Dogs are listed as "Mixed Breed" unless formal documentation is available.<br/><br/>Location And Hours<br/>- Visit our adoption center at 3602 Lafayette Blvd, Fredericksburg, VA 22408 during adoption hours: Wednesday 5-7 PM; Friday 6-8 PM; and Saturday 10AM-4PM.<br/>- We also host adoption events throughout our community.
