Notes indicated he didnt want to interact with the handler in the play yard, and that became part of the reason he was placed at risk. Imagine being a young, overwhelmed dog in a loud, stressful shelter environment and being expected to show your best self every single day.

Thankfully, his story doesnt end there.

Journey Home stepped in and gave this gorgeous boy a new journey and a second chance at life.

Meet Blaze:

Male German Shepherd Dog
33 pounds
Approximately 1 year and 2 months old
Entered the shelter on April 23, 2026
Saved from a euthanasia deadline
Now safe with Journey Home and headed to Missouri!

Blaze is exactly what youd expect from a young shepherdenergetic, curious, playful, and ready to learn.
