Blanche's Story

Blanche was hit by a car in Newport News & after her owners were located they abandoned her at the emergency vet. They eventually signed her over to animal control so she could get treatment. We took her into rescue a few days after the accident - she was wheeled out to us on a cart. We got her walking again & she has healed wonderfully. No lasting damage at all!!!! Blanche is a GREAT girl. She absolutely LOVES children & will seek them out & whine when they leave. She is great with other dogs & loves to play. She sleeps quietly in her crate at night & is house trained. She is just a real pleasure to have around! Her adoption fee is $250 & includes all her vaccines, deworming, microchip & spay. The adoption process can take anywhere from one to several weeks. Please be patient as we volunteer our time & with the large number of animals in need we may not be able to respond the same day. We do our best to respond to all emails in a timely manner!  Once we have your completed application, our adoption coordinator will schedule a phone interview with you. Next we will speak with the references you listed & your current veterinarian to verify all animals in the home are up to date on vaccinations & preventatives. **RENTERS** PLEASE verify with your landlord or management company you are allowed to have a dog AND that there are NO BREED RESTR
