Meet Blanca<br/><br/>Blanca is a 5 month-old Havanese–Maltese mix (as best we can tell) with a bright mind, high energy, and a big love for canine companionship. As she’s settled into foster care, it’s become very clear that Blanca truly thrives with another dog and will be placed in a home that already has a playful, friendly resident dog.<br/><br/>Blanca is incredibly smart, active, and eager to engage with the world around her. She loves playing fetch, running, and especially wrestling and playing with other dogs. Having a canine buddy isn’t just a bonus for her it’s essential. She gains confidence, burns energy, and learns best when she has another dog to interact with daily.<br/><br/>She’s already making excellent progress with potty training and has begun learning to go outside and use a dog door, all within her first week in foster care. Blanca enjoys learning and needs regular mental and physical stimulation. While she is affectionate and enjoys cuddling once her energy needs are met, she is not a puppy who will be content lounging all day as an only dog.<br/><br/>Blanca’s story began when her mama, Azul, was being given away at a local park after her owner was detained by ICE. A Good Samaritan stepped in and soon discovered Azul was pregnant. Just weeks later, in a safe and loving foster home, Azul delivered her litter of five, including Blanca.<br/><br/>Raised in a home environment around people and dogs since birth, Blanca is well-socialized, confident, and eager to bond. We expect her to remain small, likely around 15–20 pounds when fully grown. She has received early vetting and will be fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed through the rescue.<br/><br/>Blanca is seeking an adopter who already has another dog and is looking to add a playful, intelligent companion to their pack. If you have a friendly, active dog at home and are ready to welcome a smart, joyful puppy who thrives on canine friendship, Blanca would love to meet you.
