Blair's Story

Blair’s story 🤍

When Blair first came to us, she was one of the most shut-down dogs we had ever taken in. She didn’t want to leave her crate or be touched, and she would hold her potty for hours just to avoid the world outside of it. Her crate was the only place she felt safe.

With time, patience, and zero pressure, things began to change.

Today, Blair is coming out of her shell. With her foster brother by her side, she’s gaining confidence and showing us who she really is. We’ve learned she absolutely loves kids, which makes us wonder if, in her previous life, her only allies were children and her furry friends.

And now — she’s having zoomies. She’s playful. She’s letting joy sneak in.

We’d love to find Blair a forever home that understands her journey — a patient home with at least one other dog for her to lean on. Older kids are a huge plus, and we know they’d quickly become her safe people.

Blair still moves at her own pace, but her progress has been incredible to witness. She’s proof that when fear is met with compassion and consistency, healing finds its way in.
