Blade's Story

Hi! My name is Blade and I’m a 5-month-old, 30 lb Cattle Dog mix with a BIG heart and even bigger zest for life!

I’m the kind of pup who never meets a stranger—people, dogs, cats, you name it, I want to be friends. I’m super sweet, super social, and always ready to bring the fun!

My perfect day? Easy. Playing fetch until my tongue hangs out, wrestling and zooming around with my doggie pals, squeaking my favorite toys, and then curling up for snuggles with my humans. I adore other dogs of all shapes and sizes and would love a playful doggie sibling in my future home. I’m friendly with cats too, but I do think it’s a game when they run… so I’ll need a little guidance to learn that not all kitties appreciate a good chase.

I’ve done great with kids, and I’m working hard on potty training—just give me consistency and quick potty breaks and I’ll keep nailing it. I’m crate trained, and I walk like a champ on leash! I also know commands such as sit, place and down; and I’m working on heel and on my recall!

If you’re looking for a happy, goofy, super-social adventure buddy, I might just be your new best friend.

Apply to adopt me here: https://form.jotform.com/243205808278157

*Disclaimer: Blade is currently located in Texas and can be adopted either locally or out of state. We coordinate everything with our ground transport teams to ensure they arrive to the adopter safely and we keep the adopter in the loop every step of the way. Transport costs are included in the adoption fees. We also have our fosters video chat with potential adopters prior to adoption so that the adopter gets to see the animals and ensure it’s a fit. We allow adoption fees to be paid via goods and services if desired to give our adopters extra security and protection.

Ruff Road Revival's Adoption Policy
The first step to the adoption process is filling out our adoption application online. We then do a vet check and check character reference, followed up by reaching out to the potential adopter to answer any questions they may have. If they are still interested at that point, we have the foster reach out to them so that they can get a better feel for if it is the right fit both for the adopter and for the animal. This also gives the potential adopter a chance to either set up a meet and greet with the animal if they are local or video chat with the animal to see their personality if they are out of state. If they are local, the next step would be a meet and greet and if that goes well, they would sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee and take the animal home. If they are out of state and decide to move forward with adoption, they will then sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. We will schedule the transport and send all information to the potential adopter. The animal will receive a health certificate prior to transport and the adopter will be added to a group chat during the transport process.
