BJ $425's Story
Meet BJ!
BJ is a sweet and gentle 2–3-year-old mixed breed girl weighing about 51 pounds. She has the perfect mix of playfulness and snuggly affection, making her a wonderful companion.

BJ settled in nicely at her foster home. She feels very comfortable in the house and is well-behaved without using the crate. She sleeps in the living room and kitchen areas. When gone during the day or at night when we are all sleeping, BJ is well-behaved alone. She is potty-trained and will look at you to let her out. If she barks, she is protecting, alerting that someone is coming up to the house, as she has great hearing.

BJ has a fenced-in yard and enjoys sniffing and running. She will start running zoomies and then stop. She does well at dog parks and gets along well with other dogs. BJ loves to cuddle with people and is very gentle. She takes treats very gently. She loves hard chews and treats and loves Nylabones. She will start chewing on toys on her own, and loves balls.

She has great recall when you say her name - BJ stops what she is doing to run to you. She is young with lots of puppy energy; she runs and runs, then stops when she is tired. When we have visitors, she gets excited, and her tail is wagging fast. She may bark to alert, but she is wiggling with excitement when people come into the house. She sometimes does a little jumping when excited, so we're working on 4 on the floor. She may do well in a home with a little older dog to continue learning.

BJ is ready to give endless love, playful energy, and snuggles to the lucky family who adopts her. Could that be you?

If you would like to be considered as a potential adopter for one of our great dogs, please go to our website- (SEE PINNED POST) and submit an application. You may be contacted via email if there are concerns or questions. Once all of your information is reviewed and if your application is approved, you will be notified via email. Submitting an application and receiving an approval does not guarantee you will be adopting the dog you applied for. Meet and greets are only set up with approved applicants, and we require all members in the household to be present, as well as any current dogs in the home. Meet and greets take place at our adoption center located in New Berlin. If you are proceeding with adopting a Lucky Mutt, we will require the dog to have a Martingale collar at the time of adoption, to ensure the dogs safety during the transition to a new home.

Current Adoption Fees Are:
$425+tax for puppies to 3 years old
$375+tax for ages 4-7
$275+tax for ages 8 and up
Bonded pairs vary

The adoption fee covers spay/neuter, up to date age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, general deworming, heartworm test, (if over 6 months) and a certified veterinary inspection.
