Bixie's Story
Bixie and her sister, Lucille, made their journey to us all the way from Alabama after being found as tiny strays. They spent a few months waiting with a local rescue, hoping someone would notice them—but no one came . When we were asked if we could help, we knew we had to give these girls the chance they deserved. And now, they’re finally here, safe and ready to find their forever families.

These sweet sisters came into rescue with their mom and siblings when they were just little puppies. Their mom, a small hound mix (mostly beagle), has already found her happily ever after . As for dad…well, that remains a mystery!

Bixie is currently about 20 lbs and is expected to grow into a medium-sized pup like her mom. She may have a touch of lab in her too, but whatever her mix may be, one thing is certain—she is 100% pure love.

Since arriving, Bixie has been settling in so nicely with her foster family. She lives with two other dogs and fits right in, enjoying both playtime and companionship. She has the sweetest soul and absolutely adores being close to her people—snuggles are her favorite . She’s also doing a great job learning her crate and house manners.

Bixie would truly blossom in a home with another young, playful dog to be her buddy. She finds comfort in being near her humans, especially at night, and does best when she can see you from her crate (otherwise, she might gently remind you she misses you ). With her gentle and loving personality, we believe she will do wonderfully with children and even cats.

Bixie is up to date on vaccines, preventatives, and has had a fecal test. She will need to be spayed soon, and her adoption fee has been slightly reduced to help with that cost. Her adoption fee is $400.

More than anything, Bixie is just looking for a family to love her—one that will cherish her, grow with her, and give her the happy ending she’s been waiting for all along

If you feel that Bixie could be the perfect addition to your home, please submit an application at:
https://worthytails.rescuegroups.org

For any questions, feel free to email: jessie.wilson@comcast.net

Thank you for opening your heart to a rescue pup!

PA Kennel License #18991
