ID 60041244<br/>Here in Buffalo, we have several Bisons...Bison chip dip, Bison's baseball, but none of the Bisons are quite as special as this one!<br/>Meet Bison, a current resident at the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter. This lovable mutt with a delightfully wrinkled forehead is having a very tough time at the shelter, and it is wearing on his spirit. This fella is young, exuberant, and is doing his absolute best to be patient for his furever people to come and scoop him. Volunteers are working with Bison to help him put his best paw forward, and to improve his "four on the floor" manners. <br/><br/>This love bug wants attention desperately, but sometimes can go about asking for it in all the wrong ways. By that, we mean, he can be jumpy, mouthy and a “handful”, but it is due to the fact he just isn’t getting the amount of enrichment, training, and daily exercise needed. Bison loves different toys and that gives him an opportunity to keep his mouth and mind busy. He will show off a stellar "sit", knows "down", and will engage with his person often like a little kid pulling at your coat for attention. <br/><br/>He is smart, and sweet, has shown to get along with other dogs at the shelter (will need a meet and greet to make sure it is the right fit), and is a car co-pilot rock star...if you drive a great deal, he would LOVE to join you!!! He also does well on his leashed walks enjoying the chance to explore the neighborhood. <br/><br/>This guy would prefer a dog savvy person willing to work with him, and give him exactly what needs. This creates an amazing bond between human/canine making a great team. At this time, to start his journey, we recommend a home without small children due to him needing touching up on his manners, and he will need that time to learn. <br/><br/>Bison has a lot of amazing things going for him and just desperately needs a chance to shine! With some consistency, some love and some basic training- this guy will be an all star!!
