Birdie's Story

Birdie is a 1 year old, 30lb mixed breed. We honestly have zero idea what breeds she is, and we hope her forever family does a DNA test! Birdie came to the shelter with a severely injured leg. The shelter decided amputation was going to be the best option and best chance for her to have a full recovery. She has since fully recovered and is happy, playful, active, and loving little girl who is ready to find her forever family. Here is wht Birdie's foster has to say about her:<br/><br/>"Birdie is the sweetest pup! She may be missing a leg, but she doesn't miss a beat - nothing stops her from running, playing, and being an all around goofball! She is incredibly friendly and loves people and our dog Annie. She is potty trained and sleeps through the night. She is crate trained but loves nothing more than to cuddle! She would do great in a home with a family, a fenced in backyard, and another dog who she can play with. Birdie can be a little shy at first, so her forever family will have to be a little patient during the meet and greet. Once she's comfortable with the dogs around her she just loves to play with them! She is learning her basic commands quickly and would do well with someone who can continue her leash training. She's a super sweet girl who's ready to give someone all her love and cuddles."<br/><br/>If you are interested in adopting Birdie, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com
