Birdie's Story
Meet Birdie
Retired Ridglan Beagle • Professional Snuggler • Aspiring Bed Hat

Rescue: Albert's Dog Lounge
Age: Adult
Size: Medium
Fostered in: DeForest, Wisconsin

Birdie is officially retired from Ridglan Farms and ready to trade her old life for soft beds, good food, sniffy adventures, and a family of her own.

She's friendly, affectionate, and VERY food motivated, because obviously. She loves snuggling and being with her people, and her favorite sleeping spot is apparently directly on your head. You're welcome.

Birdie is still learning how to be a dog. She can be head shy because of old ear injuries, so she needs gentle handling and no small children. She's also reactive to barking dogs and loud noises on walks, but does well living peacefully with slow introductions to similarly sized dogs in the home.

Her dream setup? One calm, confident dog sibling who can show her the ropes and help her feel safe. She recently met a cat and was completely unfazed, even when the cat booped her right on the nose.

Birdie is a champion sniffer and sometimes gets so distracted by all the smells she missed while living in a cage that she forgets she's supposed to be pottying. Priorities. But she is good going outside as long as you keep her on a regular schedule.

Birdie's Perfect Home
Fenced yard required
A calm, confident dog sibling. Or not.
