This sweetheart is only 20 lbs., at about 9 months old, so the perfect size to sit on her humans' laps, cuddle in bed, and go for adventures! Birdie is a terrier mix with the prettiest black and white markings with an adorable scruffy face and eyes that communicate everything she's feeling! She was found as a stray in a rural area and is now patiently waiting for her new home. <br/><br/>She adores people and is happiest when she can be as close to you as possible - sitting on your lap, cuddling on the couch, snuggling in bed, etc. Birdie absolutely loves other dogs and would do best in a home with another active dog that will enjoy playing with her! She has also been around cats and does well with them. <br/><br/>Birdie is housebroken and crate trained, but prefers a home where she won't be alone for more than 4 hours per day. She is learning to be comfortable in the car and would enjoy going on short field trips to help her learn that car rides lead to fun things! As much as Birdie loves to cuddle, she is no couch potato and needs daily exercise before she's ready to cuddle for the evening! <br/><br/>Birdie is spayed, current on all vaccines (DAPPv, Rabies, Bordatella, Leptospirosis and Lyme), is on monthly heartworm and flea preventatives, and is microchipped. Look under VOLUNTEER tab.<br/><br/>As part of our adoption agreement, we require that you and your adopted canine attend a minimum of one group basic obedience course within 4 months of adoption. If adopting a puppy under 4 months old, we also require a group puppy socialization course be started immediately upon adoption.<br/><br/>In addition, we require that puppies under 6 months of age will not be alone for more than 4 hours at a time in an 8-hour workday.
