Birdie's Story

Welcome to rescue beautiful Birdie! Located in MD

Birdie is a 1-year-old gentle soul who is just starting to find her footing in foster care. She can be a little shy with new people—especially indoors—but gains confidence when given space to approach on her own terms. Outside, her personality really starts to shine!

She's wonderful with other dogs and would likely thrive with a confident canine buddy to help show her the world. Birdie also does great with cats and has been calm and appropriate when meeting kids.

Birdie enjoys being outside, rides nicely in the car, and is doing well on leash once she gets going. She's still learning the basics—like house training and simple commands—and will need a patient adopter committed to building her confidence.

A home with another dog and a fenced yard would be a great fit for Birdie as she continues to blossom.

If you're looking for a sweet, sensitive pup to grow with, Birdie might be your girl.

It's never too soon to submit an application. You only need to apply once to be considered for any dog who is a match for your home.

** Want to send this dog a gift?
