Birch's Story

Birch came to us alongside her momma Magnolia and two siblings after being dumped at a construction site. Our best guess is Magnolia was left there and gave birth alone in a place where no dog should have to. They came into our rescue so that Megan could ensure that the litter was safe and sound.

Birch has been growing up in our rescue as she came to us at about 4 weeks old. She is now 6 months old. Her mom and siblings have been adopted but she is still waiting for her forever!

- She is potty trained and does well with routine and consistency. We know that in her forever home there would be some regression as she relearns her surrounds and new routine so adopter's should expect to be patient.
- She is dog friendly and is being fostered with a number of different pups! She is confident and sassy and know's what she wants. She is an excellent play mate and a co existing napper.
- She has worked on leash training and follows her foster mom well! She asks that treats be brought along so you can continue to remind her that she is in fact the bestest girl.

Birch is currently being fostered in Chicago and does have an open adoption radius for meaning she can be adopted in or outside of Chicago. However, selected adopter must be willing to meet and finalize in Chicago. Their adoption fees include their age appropriate vaccines, spay, multiple rounds of dewormer, first round of prevention (flea, tick, and heart worm) and microchips. If you’re interested in learning more about them please apply directly!
