Bingo's Story

Bingo is a 2-year-old, 36-pound Beagle/Terrier mix with a big personality, an even bigger love for food, and a serious case of “life is an adventure!”

Bingo has met other dogs and can do okay with them, but he would much prefer to be the only dog in his home. He can be skittish around other dogs and would not be a good fit for a home with smaller dogs. He also does not do well with cats.

Bingo is okay with kids, although little ones should know that this boy is 100% willing to take food right out of their hands! He absolutely loves his snacks. He is used to being free-fed, and sudden changes to his feeding routine can make him anxious about when his next meal is coming. A consistent feeding routine will help him feel secure.

This handsome guy does have some special needs when it comes to safety. Bingo is an escape artist! An open door, gate, or fence is basically an invitation to go on an adventure. He needs a securely fenced and properly managed environment, along with a family who will be diligent about doors and gates. In the car, Bingo must be leashed or properly confined, because if given the opportunity, he will jump out the second he gets the chance.

Bingo also struggles with separation anxiety, so he would do best in a home where someone is around frequently. He wants to be with his people and would thrive with a family willing to help him feel safe and secure.

When Bingo first meets strangers, he can be a little unsure. But bring a treat, tell him he's a good boy, and suddenly he's ready to be your best friend and go anywhere with you! His favorite chews include beef hide and pork skin, and he loves anything that involves food.

One important note: when Bingo gets bored and hungry, he may make some questionable choices—like eating rocks if left outside alone—so supervision and enrichment are important.

Bingo is a fun-loving, food-motivated, quirky boy looking for a family who understands his personality and is willing to keep him safe while helping him build confidence. If you're looking for a loyal adventure buddy with a hilarious personality and a heart of gold, Bingo may be your guy!
