Bimby wears hers a little more carefullybut once you've earned it, you'll have it forever.<br/><br/>At around 4 years old and 40 pounds, Bimby is a beautiful black Pit Bull mix with the sweetest soul. She's dog-friendly, no small dogs though, enjoys playing with her canine friends, and loves being around people once she has a chance to get to know them. She may be a little shy at first, but give her patience, kindness, and a few days, and she'll be climbing into your lap for cuddles, kisses, and all the love she has to give.<br/><br/>Bimby's journey hasn't been an easy one.<br/><br/>She was found as a stray and spent months sitting in a crowded North Carolina shelter, overlooked simply because of her black coat. As the shelter became overcrowded, she found herself on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, Because of Bubbles stepped in just in time.<br/><br/>Once she was safe, we realized her fear came from more than just the shelter. She would flinch when someone reached to pet her. During her spay surgery, our veterinarian made a heartbreaking discoveryBimby had shrapnel and a bullet lodged in her gums, evidence that someone had shot at her in the past.<br/><br/>Despite everything she's endured, Bimby still chooses to love.<br/><br/>She's learning every day that not all people will hurt her, and watching her confidence grow has been nothing short of incredible. She's ready for a family that understands that the best things in life are worth waiting for. One that will give her the patience she deserves and celebrate every milestone she makes.<br/><br/>Bimby isn't looking for a perfect family.
