Billy Ray is in Houston, Tx, and can be transported out of state once an approved adopter is lined up!<br/><br/>Billy is a gentle, easygoing guy with a wonderful balance of calm and curiosity. Inside the home, he’s happy to lounge on the couch, soaking up quiet affection and enjoying relaxed playtime. He loves soft pets, close snuggles, and being near his people. Outdoors, Billy shows his adventurous side by going for walks, exploring, and would make a great companion for light jogs or hikes.<br/>Billy has a low-to-moderate energy level. He’s calm and settled indoors but still enjoys getting out for fresh air and movement. His play style is gentle and polite, both with people and toys, and he’s never overly rough or chaotic. One of his cutest traits is the soft little whines he makes when he wants attention which is hard to resist.<br/>Billy has done well meeting other dogs on walks, greeting them with a wagging tail and friendly interest. He’s played with medium-to-large dogs and would be fine living with another dog, though he’s also perfectly content on his own. He hasn’t spent much time around children but has shown no issues when seeing them on walks. Because he’s strong and can pull on leash, he’d do best if adults handled walks.<br/>Billy is fully house trained and does wonderfully in a crate with no barking or whining and he settles in easily. He’s comfortable being crated during the workday and handles time alone well. On leash, Billy can pull and would benefit from continued leash training, especially given his strength. He’s a smart boy who already knows “sit” and “shake,” so he’s off to a great start.<br/>Billy is quiet in the home, making him a great option for a house or apartment. He does well in the car and rides calmly without anxiety. He’s polite with food and toys and has shown no signs of guarding or aggression.<br/>Billy would thrive in a home that appreciates his calm, affectionate nature and enjoys including him in daily life. A yard or an owner comfortable managing a strong dog on leash would be ideal.
