Billy Jean's Story

“Have you heard of the Legend of Billy Jean? Well… I am Billy Jean and I was on the run for a while. I was finally captured and let me tell you I was terrified until a nice man from the SPSPCA came to my rescue. He sprung me from the clink and took me home where I met many other dogs and people. I was a little slow to warm up but now I can’t get enough playing and cuddling. They believe I am a schnauzer mix approximately 1 year old.”

Billy Jean is a very sweet small to medium sized girl. She desires attention constantly and does tend to walk in front of you or even tangles in your feet because she just needs to be where you are. If you are at all a risk to falls take this into consideration. Billy Jean is crate trained and goes in immediately when food is involved. She is working on potty training and doing well. Billy Jean does have what appears to be a birth defect on her right back paw. She only has the middle two toes. She limps on it when walking but when she needs to get somewhere fast she just picks it up to zoom around the yard. Billy Jean will do well in any family as long as she is given time to warm up and adjust. She does have a loud bark so I am not really sure how apartment living would be.

Billy Jean is available to go on a 1 week home visit but know it could take longer to really come out of her shell. Her adoption fee is $175 which includes her spay, microchip, negative heart worm test with current preventative and up to date immunizations. If you would like to meet Billy Jean email the south plains SPCA at adoptions.spspca@gmail.com to set a private meeting or come meet her at adoption events on Saturdays from 11-2.
