Meet Billy — a teeny-tiny senior with a personality that is anything but small!<br/><br/>Around 10 years old, Billy came to us from the Casa Grande shelter after being found as a stray. When we first saw him, it appeared that he was missing his entire lower jaw. We knew immediately that we had to help this little guy, so we got him into the care of a dental specialist to understand exactly what was going on.<br/><br/>What they discovered was truly remarkable. Billy is missing his mandible, as well as the front portion of his maxilla, leaving his little snout supported primarily by cartilage. Billy underwent surgery to repair his mandible and recovered remarkably well. He is also being treated for Valley Fever, but you would never know this little guy has been through so much. <br/><br/>Nothing gets Billy down.<br/><br/>He is spunky, hilarious, and full of personality. He has this incredible zest for life that makes it impossible not to smile when you're around him. For such a tiny little boy, Billy has an enormous amount of joy to give.<br/><br/>Billy's story is one of resilience, but more than anything, it's a story about a little dog who just wants to enjoy his life and be loved.
