Billie's Story
Billie is a bundle of energy and joy and fun.
She would love to go on adventures and hikes and camping and trips to Lake Michigan for sure!
Billie needs an active family or person. Someone who will work with her, be patient and show her the good in the world. She is such a sweet dog.
Billie appears to be a Yellow Labrador retriever mix and probably pit bull as well. She is strong but does well with a pinch collar (we use only the best and safest). In time a regular collar would do fine but for now I know we who foster and walk her need that extra help a pinch collar offers.
Billie landed in a local animal shelter where she was put in a kennel with other dogs. The shelter did not know she was pregnant and things did not go well. The put her by herself only to discover the next day she had had a puppy!
Billie loves her puppy, Sallie. But they are now in separate foster homes so Billie can learn to move on and Sallie can learn what she needs to be adopted.
Billie is sure to be a heart dog. She just has the eyes and the moves.
Billie is spayed, microchipped, wormed, up to date on her vaccinations, has had a negative heartworm test and is on heartworm preventative.
She is crate trained and is learning to not bark and doing a good job.
Coming as a mama dog is tough and it takes them a bit more time, especially when they are so young like Billie.
PetsConnect is an all volunteer, foster based program. What this means is that we run on volunteer power, the animals live in the homes of our volunteers and we depend on donations to help cover costs.
Want to adopt? volunteer? donate?
drop us an email at petsconnect@petsconnect.org
