BILBO's Story
Meet Bilbo!

Bilbo is a sweet little adventurer who recently arrived at the shelter as a stray. At about 5 years old, this handsome beagle mix is still getting used to the hustle and bustle of shelter life. It can be a little scary at first, but every day Bilbo is showing us more of his gentle, loving personality.

Once he feels comfortable, Bilbo is a total cuddle bug. He absolutely loves getting pets and will happily soak up all the attention you’re willing to give. If you sit down with him, don’t be surprised if he scoots in close—snuggles are one of his favorite things!

Being part beagle, Bilbo also has a classic beagle whine he likes to use to chat with his people. It’s his adorable way of saying hello or asking for a little extra love.

Bilbo has participated in dog playgroup and has done well so far. However, he would still like to meet any potential dog siblings before heading home, just to make sure everyone is a good match.

Right now, Bilbo is simply looking for a safe place where he can keep building his confidence and share all the cuddles he has to give. If you’re looking for a sweet companion with a soft heart and a little beagle charm, Bilbo might be your guy. If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog's better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes: - initial canine distemper combination vaccination - first worming or stool check - rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age) - 24 Petwatch microchipping - flea treatment/preventative - spaying or neutering -heartworm testing Adoption fee: $135.00 Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2025 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. The cost of the license is $9.20. (Senior Citizen or Person with Disability-$7.20) Leash and collar included
